It is my intention, if approved, to move the business to my home at 13155 183rd Avenue NW in-Elk River. My main business consists of residential reupholsterv-and some small scale commercial reupholstery. I also make custom boat covers, in season. For this I would need to have the customer's beat in my driveway for a day or t~vo while I fit it. Other than that, the business would be completely contained in my garage, with an office in the house. The only machinery needed to run my business are a compressor, industrial sewing machines, a table saw and-a band saw. The compressor and sewing machines are used the majority of the time. The saws are only used occasionally, to replace bad parts on the furniture. I plan to keep the compressor in my basement with air lines running up to the garage. I would insulate the garage for energy efficienc}~, as well as to cut down on any • noise. My existing attached garage is 24' x 24'. I would need to add on to it in order to have enough room to operate. I anticipate an addition that would bring the total square footage up to 1200 sq. ft. There would be no exterior. storage of related materials. I do not anticipate much traffic to my home. I plan to make all sales in the customer`s home or business. I would also pick up and deliver all the furniture. I would probably have UPS de}iveries of fabric and supplies a few times a week. I plan to operate the business with my wife, Cheryl, and probably one other part-time .employee. My business hours would be approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. monday through friday, with occasional limited hours on Saturdays. At this time, I am not sure if I would need a sign. However, if I did decide to put one up, it would be a small one to let delivery persons know ~~hich door to use. It would be under 2' x 2' and would be located near the man door to the >;ara~e.
