The coatings were applied to <br />ENYIRONMENiAL three buildings during the 1978 plant expansion and, over the years, the coatings have <br />MUNICIPAL deteriorated to a point that is threatening the integrity of the masonry structures. In order <br />PIA"NINC to protect the structures from further deterioration, it is necessary to clean and recoat <br />•LIU WASiE surfaces in the near future. <br />STRlK7URAL <br />suevenNC We sent out "request for quotations" to six painfing contractors, and have received three <br />1RAEEIC quotes as of the deadline, May 31, 1995. We have had some previous experience with this <br />contractor on a water tower refurbishing project. The work they performed was <br />satisfactory. Based on our experience and the quotes received, we recommend the City <br />award the project to Rainbow, Inc., at the next Council meeting.
