City Council Minutes <br />May 14, 2001 <br /> <br /> 6.2. Open Mike Issues <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz requested the council to inform staff of open mike issues that <br />are known prior to the council meeting so that staff can be prepared to address the <br />issue at the meeting. <br /> <br />7. Staff Updates <br /> <br />1. Ci.ty Hall Expansion <br /> <br />Pat IGaers updated the council on the progress that the staff city hall expansion <br />committee has made. The fzrst task for this committee has been to identify and <br />review space needs and issues associated with the city hall expansion project. Pat <br />indicated that the committee needs professional assistance to move the study further <br />along and will be meeting with Architect Gary Tushie of Tushie-Montgomery & <br />Associates to discuss the project. He stated that he has asked Gary Tushie to submit <br />a proposal for services to analyze space and programming needs. <br /> <br />The City Administrator requested council representation on the committee. <br />Councilmembers Motin and Kuester volunteered to be on the committee. <br /> <br />2. Cell Phone Program <br /> <br />The City Administrator updated the Council on the city's cellular phone police. <br /> <br />3. Meeting Schedules <br /> <br />The City Administrator discussed the Council meeting schedule. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO CANCEL THE MAY 29, 2001 <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND TO CALL A SPECIAL COUNCIL <br />MEETING ON JUNE 4, 2001, AT 6 PM TO DISCUSS REGULAR <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS INCLUDING A REPORT FROM THE CITY <br />ENGINEER. COUNCILMEMBER TVEITE SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that he plans to hold a budget meeting on July <br />9. Councilmember Dietz indicated there might be a chance that he will be unable to attend. <br /> <br />8.
