Recreation Mana er's Report -Steve Benoit <br />Recreation Manager, Steve Benoit shared that summer programs concluded and staff <br />efforts are switching to fall programs. Enrollment for fall programs has been <br />positive. <br />Mr. Benoit shared the Senior Center Coordinator's Report. <br />7. Director's Report -Bill Maertz <br />Director of Parks and Recreation, Bill Maertz shared updates on the Great Northern <br />Trail project, Woodland Trails Restoration Project, Statewide Health Improvement <br />Program and the Riverfront Concert Series. <br />Mr. Maertz shared that Elk River residents are entitled to visit the YMCA four times <br />a year at no cost. This free use is part of the funding partnership between the City <br />and the YMCA. <br />8. Action/Discussion Items -None <br />Information/Update Items <br />9.1. Volunteer of the Month <br />Recreation Manager, Steve Benoit recognized Laurie Larson as this month's <br />Volunteer of the month. Laurie volunteers her time 1-_elping at the Elk River Arena. <br />9.2. Community Events <br />Recreation Manager, Steve Benoit showcased the Summer Playground Adventure <br />(SPA) and Summer Sports Camps in a power point presentation. <br />9.3. Park Highlights <br />Planner/Parks Planner, Chris Leeseberg showcased several neighborhood parks in a <br />power point presentation. <br />
