Call Meetin,q To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />was called to order at 5:10 p.m. by Vice Mayor Holmgren. <br /> <br />2. Consider Council Aqenda <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MO~'ION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider Concept Plan from Developers of the Weldon Schulfz Proper_t.t~ <br /> <br />John Patten and Ed Hosek of Westwood Planning and Engineering, Homer <br />Tomkins of Contractor Property Developers Company (CPDC) and Al Block of <br />Town and Country Homes were present representing Weldon Schultz. John <br />Patten indicated that Westwood Planning and Engineering are representing <br />Weldon Schultz in the develop his land. He explained that the Weldon Schultz <br />property is 281 acres in size and has a split zoning of Rlc and Rle. He further <br />indicated that there are significant wetlands, vegetation, and slopes on the <br />property. The developers reviewed the concept nf developing the property into <br />1/~ acre and ~ acre lots which will include single family homes and townhomes. <br />Discussion was held regarding the use of a planned unit development to provide <br />a mixture of density (i.e., single family and townhomes) so as to better use the <br />land due to the amount of wetlands on the property. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the timing of extending utilities to the site. The <br />developers indicated they are looking for Council direction as to where the <br />utilities will go and the timeframe as to when they will be extended to the site. <br />The developers indicated they are anxious to stad the project in 1997, and stated <br />that without utilities the project would not be a reality. <br /> <br /> <br />
