The articles, both pro and <br />con, discussed the quality of the services that are delivered, the cost of the <br />service, and whether or not there is a need to go from the current service of <br />basic life support (BLS) with the advanced life support (ALS) as a back up to <br />one where the local service is entirely of the ALS level. This is somewhat the <br />same issue that the city reviewed, discussed, and responded to in 1991, and <br />some very positive steps were taken to improve the local service at that time. <br /> <br />David Miller and Mark Stutelberg from HealthSpan Transportation Services <br />and Elk River Ambulance Coordinator Steve Dittbenner will be in <br />attendance at this meeting to discuss some of the issues that have been <br />raised this past fall, to review the services that are currently being provided, <br />and to address any questions the Council may have on the Elk River <br />Ambulance Service. <br /> <br />council\ambserv.doc <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
