Box 430 <br />Elk River, MN 55330-0430 <br />October 7, 2009 <br />TO: Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission <br />John Dietz <br />Jerry Gumphrey <br />Daryl Thompson <br />FROM: Mark Fuchs <br />SUBJECT: Staff Update -Electric Department <br />The following is a summary of projects and/or updates over the past several weeks: <br />Phone: 763.441.2020 <br />Fax: 763.441.8099 <br />1. Connexus took a feeder out of our Waco substation and we had to de-energize the bus work <br />for them so they could install their meter. <br />2. We had new service requests for one new house, two new street lights on Dayton River <br />Road, and one 8-plex townhouse. <br />3. Placed and made up the new 3-phase service for Goodwill store. They currently have a <br />temporary service. <br />4. Eleven new street lights have been installed on the new part of 193`d and we've completed <br />the work required to be done for the project. <br />5. Continued working on Simonet Drive rebuild. <br />6. Continued working on Xenia and Tipton Avenue rebuilds. <br />7. Continued working at Area 23 tap rebuilds. <br />8. We are in the process of changing out some of our rusted 3-phase junction boxes. <br />9. The City has The Great River Trail paved and are in the process of installing a split rail fence <br />in some parts. We have about 5000 feet of single phase primary that is in some of the area <br />where the fence is being installed but it should be deep enough. <br />
