ITEM 5.2. <br /> <br />ity of <br /> <br />E <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> TO: <br />iver <br /> <br />MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />STEPHEN ROHLF, BUILDING AND <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR ~ <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 4, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: REPLACING ZONING ASSISTANT <br /> <br />Zoning assistant Kendra Lindahl has accepted a planning position with the <br />City of Plymouth. Kendra did a good job for the City and we will miss her. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending the position vacated by Kendra is filled as follows: <br /> <br />· At a pay grade 8, which is $9.37 to $15.26/hour, same as Kendra. <br /> <br />· Orientation period ends on June 30, 1997 with a step increase in July; <br /> subject to a successful orientation period. <br /> <br />That "Zoning" is removed from the title. The job would involve <br />environmental issues (recycling, solid waste, wetlands, shoreland, flood <br />plain, etc.) and zoning and public nuisance code enforce. Staffs suggested <br />new title is "Environmental and Code Enforcement Officer". <br />Having zoning in the titled made it appear that planning was one of this <br />person's primary functions. <br /> <br />A minimum of a four year degree in an environmental discipline will be <br />required. <br /> <br />· The position will be supervised by the Building and Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />If the Council is agreeable, staff will advertise to fill the position vacated by <br />Kendra as outlined above. <br /> <br /> s:kb&zXsteverkzonass.doc <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
