Salary DOQ, plus <br />excellent benefits. This <br />position promotes to general <br />manager upon retirement of <br />current manager. Reports to <br />general manager and is <br />responsible for running utility <br />in the absence of general <br />manager. The utility consists <br />of 50-megawatt peak electric <br />system, 12-MGD water <br />treatment facility and 2-MGD <br />waste water treatment. The <br />utility is owned by the city of <br />Clarksville and is operated by a <br />five-member utility <br />commission. There are 74 <br />employees and the annual <br />budget is in excess of $25 <br />million. Clarksville is situated <br />in the Arkansas River Valley <br />between Little Rock and Fort <br />Smith. Minimum qualifications <br />are afour-year college degree <br />in business administration, <br />electric engineering, civil <br />engineering or related field, <br />plus 10 years experience in <br />upper management of operation <br />of an electric distribution <br />utility. Experience managing a <br />water or waste water utility is <br />helpful. Successful candidate <br />billing, community access and local ad <br />insertion.
