Todd Erickson <br /> <br />Dear Chief Zerwas: <br /> <br />I am currently appointed to the Sherburne County Economic <br />Development Alliance and had cause to attend our Board <br />Meeting at the Government Center in Elk River last Wednesday. <br />evening. I inadvertently locked my keys in the car. After <br />calling the Sheriff's Department, a police car was dispatched <br />from the City of Elk River to assist me. Sgt. Mordal and <br />Off. Erickson attempted to open my car to no avail. They <br />then transported me (10:00 p.m.) to the Holiday station so <br />that I could attempt to call a locksmith. No one in Elk <br />River wished to assist me at that time of night! I then <br />called my husband in St. Cloud to come and the officers took <br />me back to the Government Center's parking area to wait. <br /> <br />.,Both officers were congenial, helpful and helped to make a <br /> very unpleasant experience bearable.
