'ity of <br /> <br /> · <br />.lvero: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />~*ITEM 3.8. ** <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Scott Harlicker, Planning Assistant/~ <br />September 9, 1996 <br /> <br />Request for City Council to Initiate <br />Ordinance Amendment Regarding <br />Definitions for Commercial Kennels <br />and Private Kennels <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that the City Council initiate an amendment to the zoning <br />code to amend the definition of kennel to include separate definitions for <br />commercial kennels and private kennels. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In conjunction with a proposed amendment to Section 502 "Dogs, Cats and <br />Other Animals", staff would like to amend the definitions section of the zoning <br />code to include definitions of commercial and private kennels that are the same <br />as those proposed for Section 502. If this item is put forward, it will be placed on <br />the September 24, 1996 Planning Commission meeting for their review and <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council initiate an amendment to the zoning <br />code to include definitions for commercial kennel and private kennel <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway ° P.O.
