Ach, City Planner~ <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />August 26, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Request for Easement Vacation <br />by John Weicht and Associates, <br />Public Hearing Case No. EV 96-2 <br /> <br />Issue <br /> <br />John Weicht and Associates is requesting to vacate drainage and utility <br />easements within R.R. Industrial Park. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />· Resolution No. 96- <br />· Location map <br />· Copy of the plat <br /> <br />Analysis <br /> <br />John Weicht and Associates is working with Mr. Hickman in the <br />development of Furniture World at the northwest corner of Jarvis and <br />Highway 10. Prior to this property being developed, it went through the <br />process of being replatted to accommodate a lot size that would facilitate the <br />development of a 90,000 sq. ft. commercial building. The plat basically <br />involved replatting some of R.R. Industrial Park property which had <br />previously been platted. Those lots that were previously platted contained <br />drainage and utility easements that are typically requested. Given the <br />replatting of this area and dedicating the new easements to accommodate <br />Mr. Hickman's development the previously platted easements are no longer <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve Resolution No. 96-__, <br />vacating the drainage and utility easements along the lot lines of Lots 1, 2 <br />and 3, Block 1, R.R.
