Properties continued to reconvene meeting of Board of Appeal and <br />Equalization on Mad/ 1 I, 2009: <br />1. Scott Waters, Parcel Identification Number 75-690-0102 <br />Mr. Waters stated that his house is assessed at $360,600 and his neighbor has an identical house <br />assessed at $320, 200. He requested that his assessed value be reduced to $320,200. <br />Mr. Olson indicated that the neighbor called for a reassessment and the quality grade was lowered. <br />Mr. Olson noted there is a significant difference in valuations for basement finishes listed. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS FOR THE APPRAISER TO REASSESS PARCEL 75-690- <br />0102 AND TO REPORT BACK AT THE RECONVENE MEETING. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />2. Dan Smith, Parcel Identification Number 75-577-0105 (Perkins) <br />Mr. Smith explained that he owns three Perkins and he believes the one in Elk River may be valued <br />high. He indicated that the three buildings are very similar in construction and that the building <br />quality on the Elk River location is listed as very good while the other two are listed as average. He <br />also expressed concern with the land being valued high. <br />Mr. Riley stated he would like to reassess the building and land value of this parcel. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS FOR THE APPRAISER TO REASSESS THE BUILDING <br />AT PARCEL 75-577-0105 AND REPORT BACK AT THE RECONVENE MEETING. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS TO REASSESS THE LAND AT PARCEL 75-577-0105 <br />AND REPORT BACK AT THE RECONVENE MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />3. Eric Gunderson, Parcel Identification Number 75-673-0410 <br />Mr. Gunderson purchased the home last July and had to replace all the appliances and flooring <br />because the house had not been winterized properly. <br />Mr. Olson indicated he was not aware the home was damaged. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER WESTGAARD AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN FOR THE APPRAISER TO REASSESS PARCEL 75-673- <br />0410 AND REPORT BACK AT THE RECONVENE MEETING.
