RESOLUTION 96- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO STUDY CERTAIN ROADS IN THE CITY OF <br />ELK RIVER FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING SPEED ZONES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Elk River City Council has determined that there are <br />streets in the City of Elk River upon which the designated <br />speed zone is of concern to the Council; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Minnesota Statute requires that the City Council request the <br />Commissioner of Transportation to investigate appropriate <br />speed zones in the areas of question with the City of Elk <br />River; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City's request to the Commissioner of Transportation for <br />the investigation and eventual establishment of speed zones <br />must be made by resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Elk River that the Commissioner of Transportation is hereby <br /> requested by the Council to investigate the following streets <br /> within the City of Elk River for the purpose of establishing <br /> the appropriate speed zones: <br /> <br />Jarvis Street NW from Highway 10 to 165tl~ Avenue NW <br />165th Avenue NW from Highway 10 to Jarvis Street NW <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 19th day <br />of August, 1996. <br /> <br />Henry A.
