Elk River City Council Meeting <br />August 19, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 12 <br /> <br />8.12. Request for Final Plat Approval by Kinqman. Builders, Case No. P 94-13 <br /> <br />City Planner Steve Ach indicated that Kingman Building Company is requesting <br />final plat approval for Country Crossing Townhomes 3rd Addition. The plat is <br />located in Outlot A, Country Crossing Townhomes 2ncl Addition, south of 183rd <br />Avenue, immediately east of Sandpiper Estates. Steve Ach indicated that the <br />final plat request by Kingman Building Company is the last phase of a 62 unit <br />twinhome planned unit development. Steve Ach reviewed the staff report on this <br />issue. <br /> <br />COUNC:ILMEMBER SC:HEEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 96-69, A RESOLUTION <br />GRANTING FINAL PLAT APPROVAL FOR COUNTRY CROSSING TOWNHOMES 3RD <br />ADDITION, CASE NO. P 94-13. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Farber left the room at this time. <br /> <br />,8.14. City of Elk River Request for Ordinance Amendment II1 and 12 Uses), Case No. OA <br /> 96-4 <br /> <br />City Planner Steve Ach stated that the City of Elk River is requesting to amend <br />Section 900.08 and 900.12 of the city ordinance relating to definitions for light and <br />heavy manufacturing and allowed uses in a light industrial, medium industrial, <br />and highway commercial zones. Steve Ach indicated that the Planning <br />Commission and staff have developed a list of allowable uses for the I1 and 12 <br />zones that better differentiate between the two zones and better reflect their <br />intended purposes. <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against <br />the matter, Mayor Duitsman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />COUNC:ILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANC:E 96-20, AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 900.08 AND 900.12 OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES RELATING TO DEFINITIONS, PERMITTED, ACCESSORY, AND= <br />CONDITIONS USES IN THE I-1 AND I-2 ZONING DISTRICTS AND CONDITIONAL USES IN <br />THE C:3 ZONING DISTRICT, CASE NO. OA 96-4. COUNC:ILMEMBER HOLMGREN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.18. Consider Resolution Orderinq Preparation of Plans and Specifications in the <br /> Matter of Joplin Street Improvement of 1996 <br /> <br />C:OUNC:ILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 96-71, A RESOLUTION <br />ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS IN THE MATTER OF THE <br />JOPLIN STREET IMPROVEMENT OF 1996. C:OUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.19. Discuss Architectural Materials on Furniture World Buildinq <br /> <br />City Planner Steve Ach informed the Council that the Furniture World commercial <br />building being constructed at the northwest corner of Jarvis and Highway 10 is <br />being constructed in a C3 commercial zone.
