Water meters must be replaced approximately <br />every twenty years. With the new ERT technology, ERMU is able to electronically read. <br />meters by driving by the meter location, instead of reading a meter from the side of the <br />house. All of our water customers who do not currently have the new radio technology <br />should make an appointment for a water meter replacement. Be sure to tell your friends <br />& neighbors! <br />Meters are typically located in the basement next to the water heater, where the water <br />enters the house from the street. A water meter change-out takes approximately 20 <br />minutes or less. <br />Our available appointment times are Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3PNl, but we are <br />able to work outside office hours if absolutely necessary.
