I)oc>ament F <br />~ ~ <br />Elk River .~ . <br />Municipal Utilities <br />SMART IRRIGATION INSTALLATION REBATE <br />I. Customers who decide t:o install a SMART irrigation controller (*Irrigation <br />Association Certified* -approved list attached) will receive: <br />a) Single Family Residence - $125.00 Total Rebate, disbursement of (5) <br />$25.00 discounts on ERMU irrigation bill. Credit will be applied to the <br />first five (5) months of SMART irrigation period. <br />b) Associations & Commercial - $250.00 Total Rebate, disbursement of <br />(5) $50.00 discounts on ERMU irrigation bill. Credit will be applied to the <br />first five (5) months of SMART irrigation period. <br />Customers must have SMART irrigation system inspected by ERMU personnel, <br />A minimum of 72 hours must be given to schedule inspection appointment. <br />Rebate will activate on following months billing cycle, upon inspection approval. <br />Must have SMART controller installed by Irrigation Association Certified <br />technician. <br />*List of IA-SWAT "SMART" Controllers as of 4/1/2009* <br />The Irrigation Association has developed an independent third party testing protocol specific to "smart" <br />controllers. The protocol is administered by an independent testing laboratory. The objective of this <br />protocol is to evaluate how well current commercial technology has integrated the scientific data into a <br />practical system that meets the agronomic needs of turf and landscape plants. There is no pass-fail, grading <br />or ranking of results. <br />The following "smart" controllers have completed [A-SWAT protocol testing and results have been <br />released by the manufacturer. For individual results, please click on the PDFs below. <br />Alex-Tronix Enercon Plus, Alex-Tronix Smart Clock, Aqua Conserve Aqua ET-9, Calsense ET2000e, Cyber-Rain XCl , <br />ETwater Smart Controller, Hunter ET System, Hunter Solar Sync, Hydrosaver ET[C, Irritrol Smart Dial, Rain Bird ET Manager. <br />Rain Master RME Eagle, SMG Superior Controls Sterling 8, Toro Intelli-Sense, Weathermatic SL 1600, WeatherTRAK, all <br />future controller technologies must be IA-SWAT approved AND also verified & approved by ERMU before installation. <br />Posted: 4/2/09 <br />
