When Chief West was hired, the Council appointed a committee consisting of the Mayor <br />and Vice-Mayor, two firefighters, the finance director and City administrator. The final decision of the <br />selection committee does not need to be made at this time; however, I would appreciate any feedback the <br />Council may have. <br />Finally as I stated earlier, we are in the process of developing the recruitment and application materials <br />which I expect can be ready for distribution late next week depending upon the comments and changes <br />from the Council.
