Although the construction of the 5 underground feeders is going well, the cost of the material <br />continues to rise. When we purchase underground cable, we establish a base price for the copper <br />& aluminum components. The actual price is established at the day of shipment based on market <br />index prices for aluminum & copper. The attached spread sheet reflects the purchase price, <br />escalation price, & final price of underground cable. In summary, the total purchase price was <br />$1,090,460 has escalated to $1,314,250. Attached is a article from Kiplinger titled "Business <br />Costs" explaining the raising cost of raw materials. <br />One of our newer employees, Amy Kral, clerk/receptionist recently had a baby girl. She has <br />decided not to return to work. Attached is her resignation letter. We are in the process of filling <br />her position.
