There has been discussion at the legislature about including city bonds into the amount that local <br />taxes can go up and this would impact us as we plan to bond for our Street Improvement projects. <br />Again, I am not sure of the status of the discussions on this type of proposal, but the proposal <br />clearly concerns all municipalities if, for example, a street project that was paid for with bonds would <br />limit how much other tax monies can be levied for general fund activities. <br /> <br />There are lots of non-budget/financial bills being proposed that impact municipalities, including the <br />wine in grocery store bill that was defeated in the Senate Committee and which appears to be dead <br />for this session. Hopefully Senator Jungbauer will provide some information on proposals and bills <br />that are moving forward that will have a positive impact on the city and our property owners and <br />citizens. <br /> <br />S:\COUNCIL\Pat\jungbauer. doc <br /> <br /> <br />
