At <br />the last work session, one of the major concerns was the cost estimates for the <br />remodeling of the existing facility. My estimate of $182,000-239,000 is based on <br />our experience on other projects and what we would expect you will want in <br />the work and not based on a final design for the project. Approximately 75% of <br />this line item is "nice to have" and can be eliminated if you really want. I expect <br />the $418,000-462,000 for the addition is a bit conservative and some cost <br />reductions will be found possible during the detailed design. My caution to the <br />Board is that until you have completed a schematic design for the project, you <br />will not be able to apply more accurate estimates to the work. This is a budget <br />estimate (+/- 25°r6) at this point and not intended to be a final estimate of the <br />project costs. <br />Please document your thoughts and I will refine the report as appropriate.
