ity of <br /> <br />ITEM 6.3. <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />iver <br /> FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Scott Harlicker, Assistant Planner~ <br />July 22, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />City of Elk River Request for Ordinance <br />Amending Permitted and Conditional <br />Uses in the I-1 and I-2 Districts, and <br />Definition for Light/Heavy <br />Manufacturing, Public Hearing, Case No. <br />OA 96-4 <br /> <br />Issue <br /> <br />Request by the City of Elk River to amend Section 900.08 and Section 900.12 of <br />the City Ordinance relating to definitions for hght and heavy manufacturing <br />and allowed uses in the hght industrial, medium industrial and highway <br />commercial zones. <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance has been amended to eliminate animal, nutrition and <br />agricultural research as a conditional use in the I1 zone. This use can be <br />addressed at a future time pending the outcome of discussions with Cargill and <br />this amendment can proceed without affecting Cargill. The use truck terminals <br />has also been eliminated as a conditional use in the I1 zone but kept in as a <br />conditional use in the I2 zone. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
