Connection Fees were down and this is directly related to a <br />real slow down of new construction/hobkups on the water side. <br />As in years past, we have one audit entry of "Contributions from Developers" that has not been <br />recorded yet. This is from the infrastructure that is put in place when constructing a new <br />development. This is typically a sizable audit adjustment (last year's amount was $292,965) that <br />ends up being recorded as an asset with an offsetting revenue amount. I do not anticipate this will <br />be a large number at all this year, but maybe contribute enough to move us into the black. <br />For expenses, Pumping Expense was 5% over budget and this is related to generally higher costs, <br />in fuel, chemicals, and utilities. Interest expense is slightly higher due the bond refinancing that <br />was not factored in to the budget. Other Operating Expenses are higher also due to the bond <br />refinancing -the amortization of the discount fees were not factored into the budget. <br />
