The City Administrator and the City Council look forward to your <br />becoming part of the Elk River team. The following will serve as a confirmation of our <br />conversation regarding terms and conditions of employment and compensation issues. <br /> <br />Start Date: <br /> <br />You will begin employment with tho City of Elk River on July <br />1, 1996. <br /> <br />Terms and Conditions <br />of Employment: <br /> <br />During your employment all personnel policies, either existing <br />or as amended from time to time, shall apply. <br /> <br />Should the position be abolished or should you be terminated by <br />the City, the City will provide you at least four months advance <br />notice of this action. <br /> <br />Should you decide to leave the employ of the City, you are <br />required to give the City Administrator at least 30 days advance <br />notice of your intent to leave. <br /> <br />SalaryfPer formance <br />Evaluation: <br /> <br />Holidays, Vacations, <br />Sick Leave: <br /> <br />You will have a beginning salary of $48,000 annually. A <br />performance evaluation will be conducted at the end of six <br />months of employment, 12 months of employment, and <br />annually, thereafter. Subject to a satisfactory evaluation, your <br />salary at the end of 6 months will bo adjusted to $49,000 and at <br />the end of 12 months will be adjusted to $51,000. Future <br />adjustments to salary will be made at the discretion of the City <br />at the same time as salary increases are provided to other <br />Department Heads. Ail salary adjustments are subject to a <br />satisfactory performance evaluation. <br /> <br />You will be granted the same number of holidays as other <br />Department Head employees. <br /> <br />Under the City's policy, you will accrue at the rate of three <br />w~ks of vacation.
