After selling the business, he went to work for the Minnesota Office of <br />Tourism responsible for coordinating regional tourism, marketing activities, and advertising in <br />a regional publication. It was during this period of time that he performed as a freelance writer <br />and promoter part-time. He later assumed the position of President/CEO of the Alexandria <br />Chamber of Commerce where he supervised a staff of 13 and was responsible for the activities <br />of the Chamber, convention center, museum, and Economic Development Commission.
