Every occupant shall, where required by this Ordinance, the City <br />Code of Ordinances, or the Building and Zoning Administrator, <br />furnish and maintain approved devices, equipment, or facilities <br />necessary to keep his/her premises safe and sanitary. <br /> <br />4. Substandard Buildings - Ail buildings or portions thereof <br />which are determined to be substandard as defined in this <br />Ordinance are hereby declared to be public nuisances and shall be <br />abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal in <br />accordance with the procedure specified in Section 1007.22 of <br />this ordinance. <br /> <br />If the building or structure is in such condition as to make it <br />immediately dangerous to the life, limb, property, or safety of <br />the public or of the occupants, it shall be ordered to be vacated <br />as provided in Section 1007.22. <br /> <br />5. Riqht of Appeal - When a person to whom a Compliance Order <br />is directed by the Building and Zoning Administrator alleges that <br />such Compliance Order is based upon erroneous interpretation of <br />the Ordinance or upon a misstatement or mistake of fact, such <br />person may appeal as set forth in Section 900.40. <br /> <br />6. ~ - It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or <br />corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, <br />improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or <br />maintain any building or structure or cause or permit the same to <br />be done in violation of this Ordinance and shall be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br />1007.06 - PERMITS. INSPECTIONS. AND LICENS~ <br /> <br />1. General - No building or structure regulated by this <br />ordinance shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, <br />repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted, or demolished <br />unless a building permit for each building or structure has first <br />been obtained from the Building Official in the manner and <br />according to the applicable conditions prescribed in the Building <br />Code. <br /> <br />2. Fees - Whenever a building permit is required by Section <br />1007.04(1) of this ordinance, the appropriate fees shall be paid <br />to the Building Official as specified in the Building Code. <br /> <br />A.
