~ity of

iver

MEMORANDUM

**ITEM 5.4.**

FROM:

DATE:

SUBJECT:

MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL

STEPHEN ROHLF

JUNE 3, 1996

1996 TAX FORFEITED LAND

I have reviewed the one parcel in Elk River identified by the Sherburne
County Auditor's office as going tax forfeit this year. I recommend this parcel
is discussed with other City department heads, but see no reason for the City
to purchase it.

Attached is an 1/8th section map and aerial photo showing the parcel. It is
adjacent to the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks and a branch of County
Ditch #10. The parcel is also landlocked. Although the northeast corner has
been tilled in the past, most of the property appears to be lowland.

s:\b&z\stever\taxfor96.doc
13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
