1. Share your "Energy Ezpo Energy Saving Film" Story You must submit your fdm to by 2008. The contest is open to students in the 9~' and 10~' grade during the 200? - 2008 school year at Spectrum Charter School in Elk River, Minnesota. All film submissions will be created by a single student and must be less than 5 minutes in length on DVD or VHS (DVDs are preferred) and accompanied by the following information: Release and Agreement (WE NEED TO CRAFT THIS STILL) Elk River Energy Commission retains limited usage rights usage to all films submitted---details are in the release and agreement. Filmmakers' names, title of film and credits. Each film must be produced using a budget of no more than $ 2. PARAMETERS -How does "Saving Energy" affect your life or affect the life of someone in your family? The "Energy Expo Saving Energy" film project explores how entrants or their families are positively affected by energy-saving techniques. The subject of the film can be serious or humorous. Creativity in the medium and also the subject matter is encouraged. Our Focus • The 'main character' can be you or a family member or a group of family members. Tell the story of how saving energy affects your main character/characters. The Rules • The film competition will start with an announcement on or around , 2008. • All submissions are due , 2008. • All films will be less than Sminutes long and will be submitted on DVD. • The Elk River Energy Commission retains limited usage rights usage to all submissions. Entrants agree to allow their films to be shown throughout the day at the Energy Expo event and also agree to allow their films to be shown on the Energy City website and on city cable channels throughout the state. • Creativity is encouraged; variations in style and format are welcomed. • For additional information please contact Bob Freeh at
