City <br />E <br />liver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Heritage Preservation Commission <br />FROM: Rebecca Haug, Environmental Administrator <br />DATE: November 30, 2005 <br />SUBJECT: Items on the December 13, 2005 Planning Commission <br />Agenda <br />A map showing the locations of the requests on the December 13, 2005 Planning <br />Commission agenda is attached to this memo. The City's recent Archaeological <br />Modeling and the State Historical Society Office's (SHPO) list of known archaeological <br />sites were referenced in regards to the items on the Planning Commission's Agenda. The <br />following is a summary of the agenda items and their potential to conflict with any <br />known or potential cultural, historical or archaeological resources: <br />5.1 -Amendment to Conditional Use Permit for Bauerly Bros. to mine below the water <br />table - (CU OS-21) No known SHPO sites on the affected property, the city's <br />archaeological model shows the area as low potential for archaeological site. -Staff <br />recommends the standard condition listed below is placed on this request. <br />5.2 -Conditional Use Permit for Saxon Auto World - (CU OS-22) - No known SHPO <br />sites and the archaeological model shows high to moderate potential -Staff recommends <br />the standard condition listed below is placed on this request. <br />5.3 & 5.4 -Rezone and Conditional Use Permit by American Tower Corp - (ZC OS-OS <br />& CU OS-23) - No known SHPO sites and the archaeological model shows moderate <br />potential. Staff recommends the standard condition listed below is placed on this <br />request. <br />S.5 -Conditional Use Permit for William Matthews to allow auto sales - (CU OS-24) - <br />No issues. <br />5.6 -Conditional Use Permit for Dan O'Mara/New Horizon for daycare facility in Elk <br />Ridge Center - (CU OS-25) - No known SHPO sites and the archaeological model shows <br />
