r <br />cor ors e yen ~ <br />,~ 'BRINGING EDUCATIGN & ENTERPRISE TOGETHER <br />November 4, 2008 <br />Proposal for: The City of Elk River Safety Committee <br />Bruce West, Fire Chief <br />Nanci Libor, Fire Department Office Assistant <br />Presented by: Jamie Barthel, Business and Education Solutions Manager <br />PROJECT OVERVIEW: Annual OSHA Training and Inspection <br />................................................................... <br />Anoka Technical College's -Corporate Center will provide a safety and compliance <br />program to the City of Elk River. This program will consist of three parts; Annual <br />OSHA mandated training, inspections of buildings owned by the City of Elk River, <br />and participation on the cities safety committee. Each of these three areas, are <br />broken down below. <br />Safety Committee <br />............... <br />Anoka Technical College's -Corporate Center will play an active role on the City of <br />Elk River's Safety Committee. Every month the committee meets, the Corporate <br />Center will have a representative on the committee. If requested by the committee, <br />the Corporate Center will also bring an OSHA instructor for specific questions and <br />inspection recaps. We propose that these monthly meetings be held on 3rd <br />Wednesdays of every month at 1:30pm. <br />Inspections <br />............... <br />Anoka Technical College's -Corporate Center will inspect all buildings owned by the <br />City of Elk River. These inspections will consist of a thorough walk-through by an <br />individual competent in workplace safety. The manger of that building will be <br />required to walk along on the inspection.
