OUR <br />PLANNI[NG COMMISSION <br /> Rules of Procedure <br /> <br />Agenda - The Agenda shall contain the Items to be considered by the Planning <br />Commission at their meetings on the last Friday of each month in the Council <br />Chambers of the Town Hall at 2:30 PM. The deadline for placing items on the <br />Agenda shall be the close of business on the Friday 14 days before each meeting. <br /> <br />Reading of Minutes - Unless a reading of the Minutes of a Planning Commission <br />meeting is requested by a Commission member, such Minutes may be approved <br />without a reading if the Secretary has previously furnished each member with a <br />copy. <br /> <br />Commission Members Addressing the Full Commission - No member shall <br />interrupt anyone who is speaking, except to call him/her to order or for explanation. <br /> <br />Non-Commission Members Addressing the Board - Any person who is not a <br />member of the Commission may speak to the Commission with permission of the <br />Chair and shall address the Chair. Each person, after stating his/her name and <br />address, may make comments which are relevant to the subject matter at hand and <br />which are limited to three (3) minutes, unless additional time is granted in advance <br />by the Chair. <br /> <br />Procedures for a Public Hearing - A staff member will present each application, <br />summarizing the information that is available for the hearing. Those in attendance <br />who are in favor of the request, including the applicant, will then be given an <br />opportunity to present information in support of the application. Next, the <br />opponents of the request will be given a chance to present their facts and reasons <br />for opposing the application. The Commission members will then discuss the <br />request and vote on the issue. <br /> <br />Recording of Votes - All votes of the Commission shall be done publicly and by <br />show of hands, and shall be recorded in the Minutes. <br /> <br /> <br />
