**ITEM 5.3. ** <br /> <br />r~ity of <br /> River <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Sandra Thackeray, City Clerk f_]_ <br /> <br />May 6, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Premise Permit Renewal for Eagles <br /> Club <br /> <br />The Eagles Club have made application for a Premise Permit to allow the <br />sale of pull tabs at their establishment located at 824 Railroad Drive. The <br />Eagles have recently discontinued selling pull tabs under their current <br />premise permit. They are currently leasing space to the VFW who has a <br />premise permit to sell pull tabs at the Eagles Club. <br /> <br />As you can see by the attached chart, the Eagles have met the requirement of <br />spending 75% of the profits in the City's trade area during the last three <br />years. The 1995 report does not show a full year due to the fact that the <br />Eagles discontinued selling pull tabs during this year. <br /> <br />The Eagles have indicated that they wish to renew their premise permit and <br />keep it active in case they should decide to sell pull tabs once again. <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br /> <br />Counci] motion adopting the attached resolution authorizing a premise <br />permit renewal for the Eagles Club. <br /> <br />s:Xcouncil\eagles.doc <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
