Discuss future worksession topics. <br />Background/Discussion <br />On the first Council meeting of each month the City Council reviews the worksession agendas for future <br />meetings. <br />Council member Zerwas has just notified me that he will not be at the December 15 meeting. In order to <br />adopt the tax levy and budget at a televised meeting with all council members present, I am suggesting <br />that the Council meet on camera immediately following the EDA meeting on December 8 to approve the <br />tax levy and budget before going into worksession. In discussing the EDA agenda with Jeff Gongoll, we <br />estimate that the EDA meeting will go until about 6:30. <br />Further, we met with the patrol union on November 25 to discuss the 2009-2010 contract. I would like <br />to request a closed meeting to discuss patrol union negotiations on December 8. This would possibly <br />allow enough time to get the contract approved before the end of the year. Additionally, staff has been <br />researching expanding the rental licensing program and commercial licensing and would like to discuss <br />these at this worksession so the programs could be implemented in 2009 if the Council agrees.
