ORDINANCE 08-_ <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AMENDING <br />SECTION 30 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO SIGNAGE IN <br />THE COMMERCIAL RESERVE TRANSISTION AREA <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. That Section 30-1583 of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances <br />entitled "CRT commercial reserve transitional district" is hereby amended to add anew <br />subsections (c) (4) and (5) as follows: <br />(4) Temporary signs, as permitted in Section 30-851 et seq. <br />(5) Permanent signs, as follows <br />a. One freestanding business sign per premise, not to exceed one square foot <br />in sign area for each linear foot of street frontage, with the following stipulations: <br />Freestanding signs shall be no larger than 210 square feet or higher than 35 <br />feet. Freestanding. signs shall have a minimum setback of ten feet from any <br />property line measured to any portion of the sign and a minimum clearance of <br />eight feet above any vehicular use area and over any pedestrian use area. <br />b. Businesses shall be allowed a maximum of three on-premise business wall <br />signs per occupancy. The maximum combined sign area per building shall not <br />exceed two square feet per linear foot of building frontage, up to a maximum <br />accumulation of 300 square feet per occupancy. Businesses shall be allowed at <br />least 50 square feet of wall signage regardless of building dimensions. <br />Section 2.
