Railroad Drive and Downtown bins pickup Monday and Friday from April 1st to <br />September 30th. Monday only pickup October 1st through March 31st <br /> <br />Additionally, the following city buildings require regular garbage service year- <br />round: <br /> <br />City Hall <br /> <br />Street Department <br />Liquor store <br /> <br />WWTP <br />Fire Station <br />Library <br /> <br /> I - 4 yard dumpster (weekly) <br /> (plus glass, aluminum, newspaper, plastic, <br /> corrugated cardboard and office paper recycling) <br /> 1 - 4 yard dumpster (weekly) <br />I - 4 yard dumpster and 2 - 55 gal. barrels (weekly) <br />(plus glass, aluminum, newspaper, plastic and <br />office paper recycling) <br /> I - 4 yard dumpster (weekly) <br /> I - 4 yard dumpster (bi-weekly) <br />I - 90 gal. (weekly) <br />(plus glass, aluminum, newspaper, plastic, <br />corrugated cardboard and office paper recycling. Plus, <br />the library has a book sale and will require extra <br />pickup at that time. Contractors that have book <br />recycling programs should submit that information) <br /> <br />The City currently has containers provided to its facilities by the contractor <br />which currently has the service for the City. It is anticipated that the awarded <br />contractor would be required to provide the above mentioned dumpsters. <br />Contractor should provide an estimate of total materials to be recycled by <br />percent of weight and volume. <br /> <br />Contractors are encouraged to propose alternative containers and <br />services which will meet these City needs. <br /> <br />The City is expecting the contracted price to be fixed for a minimum of a one <br />year time period. Contractors are required to supply proof of insurance and <br />obtain appropriate licenses to conduct business within the City of Elk River and <br />Sherburne County. <br /> <br />Each proposal must include a bid bond payable to the City for 5% of the total <br />amount of the proposal. A certified check may be used in heu of the bid bond. <br />The City will return all bid bonds except from the three lowest responsible <br />bidders. When an agreement is executed, the bonds of the remaining two <br />unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The bid bond of the successful contractor <br />will be retained to ensure compliance and performance according to the proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />
