We paid Wolfe Landscape $5,000 in 2008 for the <br />same service. <br />Janet McCarty appeared before the Board to request early termination of her <br />lease for her coffee, drink cart. She said sales have been very slow the last <br />few months and that it is just not worth her time to continue. John Dietz <br />motioned, Mike Hangaard seconded to release Janet McCarty from her lease <br />as of Nov. 30, 2008. Motion.passed 3-0. <br />Mike Hangaard motioned, John Dietz seconded to approve minutes of the <br />August 26, 2008 meeting. Motion passed 3-0. <br />The Treasurer's Report was discussed. John Dietz asked Tim Simon is the <br />Board will have to spend additional funds for maintenance of effort now that <br />the cost of electricity for the library is being donated by Elk River Municipal <br />Utilities. Tim said that additional money would not have to be spent because <br />he can handle the donation on the monthly financial statements by making a <br />journal entry that logs the electric expense but also has an offset under <br />donated services. Mike Hangaard motioned, John Dietz seconded to approve <br />the Treasurer's report. Motion passed 3-0. <br />Mick Stoffer went over several items in the Librarian's Report. <br />Mick had a quote of $766 from Mid-State Cabinetry to make modifications <br />to mistake that was made in original construction of the cabinets. John Dietz <br />motioned, Milce Hangaard seconded to hire Mid-State for $766. Motion <br />passed 3-0. <br />Mick said that an anonymous donor is giving a dishwasher to the Library for <br />the employee break area. We will have to pay to get the plumbing work <br />done. <br />Mick reported that a family wants to donate a bench for the outdoor patio in <br />memory of a loved one. She will talk to Chris Leeseberg about building the <br />bench. <br />Mike said he was recently at a restaurant that had outdoor tables and chairs. <br />The chairs were connected to the table and both were bolted to the ground. <br />Mike suggested we look into this next spring for our patio to eliminate <br />having to bring the tables and chairs inside every night. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. <br />
