West, Fire Chief <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Plaque Presentation for 30 Years of Service -Firefighter Steve Lori ohnson, Ci Administrator <br />Dittbenner Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />Mayor Klinzing is asked to present Mr. Steve Dittbenner with his 30-year plaque on behalf of the City of <br />Elk River and the Elk River Fire and Ambulance Service. <br />Background/Discussion <br />Steve Dittbenner started with the Elk River Fire Department on September 1, 1978 and continues to be <br />an active member of the Fire Department. Steve is a firefighter assigned to Fire Station #2, but <br />frequently responds to Fire Station #1 during his normal working hours as owner of Minnesota <br />Manufacturing and Machine which has been a long successful business within the City of Elk River. The <br />Fire Department has experienced many changes in Steve Dittbenner's 30 years of service and dedication <br />to our community and Fire Department response area. Steve is also an Emergency Medical Technician <br />(EMT) and serves as Ambulance Coordinator for the Elk River Ambulance Service. Steve continues to <br />play a vital role for the Elk River Ambulance Service to provide vision for the ambulance service within <br />our community. On behalf of the membership of the Elk River Fire Department, I would like to thank <br />Firefighter Steve Dittbenner for 30 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Elk River. <br />I believe it is very important we recognize the members of the Elk River Fire Department fox their <br />dedication to the citizens of our community.
