AREA "A" GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />GOAL A <br /> <br />DEVELOP A LAND USE PLAN THAT ENCOURAGES ORDERLY <br />GROWTH AND CONTROLS CONFLICTS BETWEEN NEW AND <br />EXISTING USES. <br /> <br />Objectives <br /> <br />A-I: Establish a hierarchy of potential land uses based on intensity as <br /> measured by building mass and traffic generation. <br /> <br />A-2: <br /> <br />USe the roadway network to unite similar land uses and corporate <br />incompatible uses. Do not combine traffic from incompatible land <br />uses on collector or local roadways. <br /> <br />A-3: Develop zoning regulations that locate the most truck and traffic <br /> generating uses near Highway 10. <br /> <br />A-4: Identify land uses that complement the Sherbume County <br /> Government Center. <br /> <br />A-5: Provide site design and architectural guidelines to help the City <br /> require a satisfactorily high quality of development. <br /> <br />A-6: Where unavoidable conflicts occur, provide adequate buffering <br /> between land uses. <br /> <br />A-7: Identify and preserve historic natural and architectural landmarks. <br /> <br />33 <br /> <br /> <br />
