ETS Lab~ .~tory Facilities <br /> <br />The depanment is housed in Headley Hall, a <br />classroom and laboratory [acility centrally located <br />on the campus. <br /> <br />The communications laboratory contains the <br />equipment necessaTy to learn computer-aided <br />drafting, technical illustration, radio and video, as <br />well as a complele Macintosh lab for developing <br />digtlal communicalions and pr~pres5 electronic <br />images. <br /> <br />The construction laboratory provides both <br />practical and experimental approaches to <br />residential and commercial construction. <br /> <br />The manufacturing laboratories incorporate the <br />latest In manufacturing equipment and techniques. <br />Included in this area are facilities for product <br />design, casting, machining (CNC and CAM), mass <br />production, computer simulation and other <br />practicts. <br /> <br />The CAD/CAM/CIM laboratory incorporates <br />various computer lerminals to study the blest <br />CAD, CAM, CIM and modeling softwan:. <br /> <br />The environmenlal inslrumcnlation laboratory <br />is designed primarily for environmental <br />experimentation and chemical testing of air, water, <br />and soils. This takes place on the many <br />simulators, microprocessors and lesting stalions <br />s4thin the lab. <br /> <br />The transporlalion/ener~, laboralo~ is designed <br />primarily for enperimcn~ton and problem solving <br />in transportation and energy. This takes place on <br />the roany simulators, microprocessors and testing <br />s~ations withtn the laboratory. <br /> <br />The Technology Education Resources Center is <br />designed as a modular classroom used as a <br />resource center for all majors.
