REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />~'o Item Number <br />Ci Council 3.6. <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent July 21, 2008 Tonya Love, Recreation Admin. <br /> Coordinator <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Resolution Acknowledging Contributions to the City of Elk Steve Benoit, Recreation Mana er <br />River Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary <br />contribution from the following donors pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03. <br />The City of Elk River Parks & Recreation received the following donations: <br />• 2-Complete sets of golf clubs with leather bags, cart and wood covers from Donna Aust <br />• $50 donations from Elk River Anytime Fitness, Kyle Torfin and Family, Infinite Light Wellness <br />Center, and Healing with Spirit <br />• $500 donation from Elk River Landfill; Waste Management <br />• $501 donation from Resource Recovery Technologies, LLC <br />• $716 donation from Builders Carpet <br />• $1500 donation from Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3264 <br />• $2500 donation from Greater Minnesota Credit Union <br />• $7000 donations from The Bank of Elk River and First National Bank, Elk River <br />Background/Discussion <br />None <br />Financial Impact <br />Contributions from several local businesses and individuals were received to be used for various <br />recreational opportunities including Safety Camp, National Night Out, and Fright Night. <br />Attachments <br />^ Resolution <br />ACtlon Motion by Second by Vote <br />Follow Up <br />C:\Documents and Settings\jmillex\Local Settings\Tempoxary Internet Files\OLK3E\Action Requested-2008 Donations.doc <br />
