Your cooperation has made this daunting challenge much more manageable. <br />I have attached a copy of`the Joint Powers Agreement and the C'ertificatc of Insurance. If you or your <br />City administrator has a question about them, ,lobo Kelly of our City Attorney's office, Ron Guiltitile <br />from Risk Managetnent or, I will he available to respond. <br />Many officers have already been committed and are being trained. There is still the need for 1,UUU to <br />1,200 officers fur the venue or for transportation. It >vnuld he helpful to have an approximate number <br />from your city that will he available, along with specialty skills that they may have (SWAT, Bicycle, <br />Motors, ~•1c>unted, K9). Ple;ase intilrm us of'any shift pn:ferencc,~s and if you would like your officers <br />assigned as a group. W'e will need the approximate numbers of officers the first of June with the <br />intention of amfitTning assignmcnfs by the end ofJunc. We want to provide you and your officers time <br />to plan as well as transition into and out of the event schedule. <br />The City of Saint Paul is excited to host a national event of this scale and is very grateful for the <br />cooperation of so many of you.
