SOUR GRAPES:

Mystic Lake continues to operate an off-sale liquor store with no sales tax (.09%) being
charged to the purchaser.

A liquor tax is being proposed for the seven county metropolitan area to build a stadium
for the Twins. Should this pass during the 1996 Legislature, it will be voted on by the
people in the fall elections.

As of this date, I have not heard of any legislation being introduced regarding a one
grade of beer bill. (There would no longer be 3.2% beer and convenience and grocery
stores would possibly be allowed to sell strong beer).

According to the Mille Lacs Band of Chippewa Indians, the Indian Gaming Industry is
now Minnesota's 5th largest industry.

Nationally, sales of all spirits continue to decrease, whereas wines continue to increase
in sales.

Northbound wrote off $965.21 of bad checks in 1995.
