T <br />Environmental Expo- Oree Sale' ry <br />Date: April 19, 2008 Time: Sam to 1pm <br />Location: Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Dr NW <br />The event will feature environmental education opportunities, including an exhibitors area, <br />along with a tree and plant sale that will include trees, shrubs and perennials at great prices! <br />This year's Expo includes presentations by Prairie Restorations Inc. and Anoka Conservation <br />District that focus on native plants in the landscape and rain gardens, respectively, as well as a <br />look at energy conservation in the home by Connexus Energy. Nature artists, woodcarvers, and <br />other `green' hobbyists are welcome to display and sell their handmade products. Non-profit <br />groups are also invited to introduce their organizations and their green mission. <br />Presentation Schedule <br />8:30-9:00am...............Energy Conservation in the Home <br />9:00am-10:00am......... Native Plants in the Landscape <br />11:00am-12:00pm... .....Rain Gardens (2 half-hour sessions) <br />Tree Sale—Co-Sponsored by Anoka Ramsey Farm & Garden <br />Local nurseries are again invited to bring a wide selection of fruit, nut and shade trees, shrubs <br />and perennials and annuals for sale. A range of sizes at sale prices will be available: seedlings, <br />potted and bare root saplings and larger balled and burlap transplants. While <br />some of these same trees may be available during the event, preordering will save $5.00 per <br />tree! All preorders must be received no later than 4:00pm April 4, 2008. See the order <br />form (opposite page) for species and pricing. <br />Bring the whole family as there will be a little something for everyone, ranging from raptors to <br />reptiles, kids activities to educational presentations, and of course all kinds of trees and plants <br />for purchase.
