Northstar Train SLtion Site Pla Approval <br />Mayor Klinzing asked staff to review this plan for the public. <br />Mr. Barnhart stated he would get information to the newspaper and also discuss it at the <br />Apri121 Council meeting. He provided a brief desctipdon of the project. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER TO APPROVE THE NORTHSTAR STATION <br />SITE PLAN AND PARffiNG LOT IMPROVEMENTS. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />4. en Mik <br />No one appeazed for Open Mike. <br />5.1. 2007 Fund Balance Allo ation <br />Mr. Simon presented the staff report. <br />Discussion was held on proposed legislation regarding local government aid and how it <br />would affect Elk River. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS TO LEAVE THE UNRESERVED FUND • <br />BALANCE OF $161,284 IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE 2009 BUDGET. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />5.2. Commututy Development Director Tlpdate <br />Ms. Johnson stated the interview panel narrowed the selection for the community <br />development director to two candidates and requested Council choose a date to meet and <br />interview them. <br />The Council decided on the morning of April 17. Ms. Johnson will work on coordinating <br />schedules. <br />5.3. Authorization to Pur hase Pond Liner <br />Mr. Maertz presented the staff report. He noted that $2,000 could be saved by having city <br />staff loading and unloading the liner. <br />The Council had concerns with city staff handling the liner and possibly making the <br />warrattty on the liner void. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A POND <br />LINER FOR PINEWOOD GOLF COURSE FROM CANAMER SERVICES, INC. <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,686 AND THIS COST INCLUDES CANAMER <br />SERVICES HANDLING THE LINER. • <br />
