Sec. 38-385. Exclusion by placard <br />(1) Any resident of the city who wishes to exclude peddlers or solicitors from premises <br />occupied by the resident may place upon ox near the usual entrance to such premises a <br />printed placard or sign bearing the following notice: "Peddlers and Solicitors <br />Prohibited." Such placard shall be at least 3 1 /2 inches long and 3 1 /2 inches wide and <br />the printing thereon shall not be smaller than 49-point type. No peddler or solicitor, <br />including those exempt from license requirements as provided in Section 38-383, shall <br />enter in or upon any premises, or attempt to enter in or upon any premises, where such <br />a placard ox sign is placed and maintained. <br />(2) Violation of this section shall result in the revocation of a duly issued license. <br />Secs.38-388--38-410. Reserved. <br />DIVISION 2. LICENSE <br />Sec. 38-411. Required. <br />It shall be unlawful fox any person to engage in the activity of peddling, soliciting, or transient selling <br />without fast having obtained a license and a city issued identification card in compliance with the <br />provisions of this division. A separate license and city issued identification card shall be secured for <br />each individual person engaged as a peddler, solicitor ox transient merchant. <br />Sec. 38-412. Application. <br />The application for the license provided fox in this division shall be made to the city clerk by filing the <br />annual license fee and by completing an application form as provided by the city clerk. In addition to <br />such information as the city clerk may require, the application shall include: <br />(1) The name of the applicant and all persons associated in business in the city. <br />(2) The permanent home address and full local address of the applicant, and the <br />permanent and local telephone numbers of the applicant. <br />(3) A brief written description of the nature of the business, the goods to be sold, and the <br />applicant's method of operation. <br />(4) Credentials from the person fox which the applicant proposes to do business, <br />authorizing the applicant to act as such representative. <br />(5) Dates the applicant intends to do business in the city. <br />(6) The place where the goods or property proposed to be sold, ox orders taken for the <br />sale thereof, is manufactured ox produced, where such goods or products axe located at <br />the time the application is filed, and the proposed method of delivery. <br />(~ Permission for the city to take a photo of applicant in order to create an identification <br />card. <br />S:\Administration\Liernses\Trnnsien[ & SoGci Wr\Ordinanee .Amrndmen[ 2007\Ordinance Repeal SoGadoc <br />
