Award Presentation From NRG to City of Elk River and Ener.qy City <br /> <br />Bill Helliwell, Plant Manager from NRG's waste recovery facility, presented a <br />plaque to the City Council in recognition of the City's part in the Refuse Derived <br />Fuel Plant processing 5,000,000 tons of waste into fuel to make electricity. <br /> <br />4.2. Interview & Appoint Library Board Candidate <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers stated that the applicant for the Library Board <br />position has withdrawn his application. <br /> <br />4.3. InteNiew & Appoint Plannin.q Commission Candidates <br /> <br />The City Council interviewed Michael Stiff and Douglas Franz for a vacancy on <br />the Planning Commission. There were two other candidates that hadn't arrived at <br />this time so the Council decided to postpone the appointment until 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />4.4. Consider Reappointment of Plannin.q Commissioner Tom Mesich <br /> <br />Director of Planning Michele McPherson stated that Tom Mesich would like to be <br />reappointed to serve on the Planning Commission. Mayor Klinzing stated that <br />reappointing Mr. Mesich would keep some valuable experience on the <br />commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
