This conference will be held on March 5th <br />through March 9th, 2001. In previous years, building official, Cliff Skogstad, <br />has attended this educational institute. <br /> <br />Provided for you with this memo is a copy of the outline of the conference. As <br />you review this information you will notice that each day is filled with many <br />areas of continuing education. With my job responsibilities changing to mainly <br />commercial and industrial construction, these classes will assist me with <br />building inspection changes due to the adoption of the 2000 International <br />Building Code. Also, many classes offered at the conference are not available <br />locally. <br /> <br />Therefore, at this time I'm requesting city council approval to attend this <br />conference. The cost will be approximately $1,200.00. This amount was an <br />approved budget item for year 2001 and is listed under out of state <br />conferences. If you have any further questions or concerns please call me at <br />441-4901. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />COUNCIL MOTION AUTHORIZING BUILDING INSPECTOR, TERRY <br />ZAJAC, TO ATTEND THE COLORADO CHAPTER EDUCATIONAL <br />INSTITUTE. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
