City Council Minutes Page 15 <br />March 18, 2002 <br /> <br /> Mr. Klaers stated that the land exchange with D.R. Horton means that D.R. Horton will <br /> want to come back to the Council with a replat and more townhomes. <br /> <br />Mr. Klaers provided the Council with a brief update on the public safety/city hall expansion <br />project. He stated that the recent calculations for the geothermal project were incorrect and <br />that the city is still considering installing it as the capital payback is in the ten to twelve year <br />timeframe. He stated that there would be more maintenance involved with using geothermal <br />but the city would have less operating expenses and lower utility bills. Mr. Klaers stated that <br />Orono Parkway would be closed for approximately 2-4 weeks for median work. He also <br />discussed the ramp, roofing, ceilings, and hghfing. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing stated that a Russian delegation was in town to learn about Energy City. She <br />stated that it was very good publicity for the city. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the City Council meeting schedule. <br /> <br />9.
