Request by Mike and Monica Johnson for Conditional Use Permit for Private Kennel <br /> Publ/c Hearing- Case No. CU 02-06 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Staff report submitted by Planner Chris Leeseberg. Mr. Leeseberg stated that the applicant is <br />requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a Private Kennel. He stated that the property is <br />zoned Rla and a private kennel is allowed as a conditional use. <br /> <br />Mayor F-dinzing opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, Mayor <br />I<linzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TVEITE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT FOR A PRIVATE KENNEL WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. THAT THERE BE NO ON-SITE COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES SUCH <br /> AS BREEDING, BOARDING OR SELLING. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />THAT THE PRIVATE KENNEL BE LIMITED TO 4 DOGS OVER THE <br />AGE OF 6 MONTHS. ADDITIONAL DOGS WILL REQUIRE AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. <br /> <br />3. THAT THE ANIMAL WASTE BE DISPOSED OF PROPERLY. <br /> <br />4. THAT THE APPLICANT RECEIVES A PRIVATE KENNEL LICENSE <br /> FROM THE CITY COUNCIL. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.3.A Consider Kennel Application for Michael and Monica Johnson <br /> <br />Director of Planning Nl/chele McPherson stated that the applicant needs a private kennel <br />license that must be renewed on a yearly basis. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE A PRIVATE KENNEL <br />LICENSE TO MICHAEL AND MONICA JOHNSON. COUNCILMEMBER <br />DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6,4. <br /> <br />Request by Cub Foods/Universal Sign, Inc. for Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit <br />for Signage, Public Hearing - Case No. CU 02-05 <br /> <br />Staff report submitted by Scott Harlicker and presented by Planner Chris Leeseberg to <br />Council. Mr. Leeseberg stated that Cub Foods is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to <br />amend the Elk Park Center PUD Agreement to allow a second 'CUB' sign over the entrance <br />to their new addition. He discussed current signage for the store and the newly proposed <br />signage. <br /> <br />Mayor Fdinzing opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, Mayor <br />Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
