Establish a plan of action for the development of planning and programming <br /> activities that will proactively address the needs identified. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Elk River endorsed the vision for <br />TH 101 -TH 169. <br /> <br />FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Elk River endorsed the concept that an <br />adequate network of supporting roads is necessary to attain the TH 101-TH 169 corridor <br />vision. <br /> <br />FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Elk River recognized the regional <br />significance of the corridor in supporting the regional economy. <br /> <br />FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Elk River is committed to working in <br />partnership with Mn/DOT and the other partners along the corridor as a member of the <br />TH 101 -TH 169 Corridor Management Team. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED <br />following issues for resolution <br />Management Team: <br /> <br />the City of Elk River intends to bring forward the <br />and discussion with the TH 101-TH 169 Corridor <br /> <br />Acknowledgment that the City of Elk River is unique, as it is at the center of <br />both the TH 10 and the TH 101-TH 169 interregional corridors. <br /> <br />As Elk River is at the center of two interregional corridors and based on the <br />physical limitations within the city (i,e, Mississippi River and railroad tracks) <br />the city sees a need for an additional transportation study that integrates <br />these two corridors in another manner rather than retaining the current <br />alignments, <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />The development of frontage roads and upgrade of the existing City street <br />system necessary to make a freeway design of TH 169 operate efficiently. <br /> <br />Analysis and public input relative to the effects of a freeway design on <br />existing businesses dependent on the TH 169 corridor.
